Sorry, No Cheap GPS Systems Here. But. . .

Cheap GPS SystemsIf you have been waiting for cheap gps systems to arrive, then continue waiting. But if you have been on the look out for brand name GPS systems to be put on sale, then now is the time for you! Many stores are putting brand name portable, automobile, and outdoor designed GPS units on clearance this week through the weekend. With consumer demand for GPS systems showing no signs of decreasing, this sale will probably not last long.

However, I would not be surprised if many of the GPS systems sold for fractions of the original prices does not end up in back in the refurbished bin. Though these devices are useful and have many of the same functions as non-clearance systems, one must wonder why these units are being sold so dramatically. So, to be on the safe side, I suggest paying the extra $40 for an extended warranty with any GPS system that is on sale. That way, you too are protected from the possibilities that many others ended up realizing the hard way.

How Do Automobile GPS Navigation Systems Impact Drivers' Feelings?

Automobile GPS Navigation Systems

Automobile GPS navigation systems continue to flood the technology market every season with new designs, higher resolution, faster processing, and even added features like PIP screens to watch a DVD movie, MP3 playback, rear-bumper camera viewing, and even night-vision camera viewing. So with all this and more, what does it make the driver feel like? The most honest answer is it just depends on the driver.

Depending on economic status, the new driving generation seems to have less of an opinion and more adoption characteristics as if it is just a way of life. New drivers that do not have access to such technology seem to not care much about it, but would like to give it a try. Those from the baby-boom generation, however, seem to show a split.

Some love it and say it makes the entire driving experience fresh and more intriguing. Having so much at the press of a few on-screen buttons keeps them pleased and does not make a trip seem like so much a chore as more of an expedition. Parents seem to show favor for it based on the media features they can utilize to entertain their kids, which can make a huge impact on longer trips.

Other drivers are what you may call old-fashioned by the standards of today. They prefer less technology, more reliability, and better efficiency. Knowing that in order to fix the AC dial, a computer programmer instead of a body shop mechanic is required still seems a little much. Simpler options satisfy them as long as the main objective of the car is still the spearhead of the vehicle: transporting the driver safely to their next destination.

What to Expect from GPS Systems for Autos.

GPS Systems for AutosAutomobile GPS systems have become an intricate part of most motor vehicle options available to consumers. GPS systems for autos enables vehicle tracking, displays vehicle condition data, engine statistics, and real-time fuel levels much like dashboards. But unlike common dashboards, this information can be recorded and sent via satellite to the insurance agency and GPS service provider of the driver. This technology also allows remote control of the vehicle security features and ignition controls reducing the likelihood of cargo being stolen or lost. Trip profiling, driver & vehicle profiling, real-time directory assistance, and vehicle efficiency monitoring as well as remote security features are soon to be just as common as seat belts in future motor vehicles.

GPS Systems 365 - Theft Threat

gps systems 365From GPS Systems 365, Delmar Allen says his GPS system was stolen from his automobile in NE Philly in the wee hours of the morning. This highlights a growing trend of thieves targeting GPS systems.

"I had a portable navigation system. What made it so bad; I took it off the window. Didn't lock. I took it out of sight, out of mind," said Delmar.

Law enforcement thinks a sixty-two percent increase in auto break-ins can be solely attributed to GPS thefts. Last week, the cops charged nineteen-year-old William Weiss with thirteen auto break-ins near the Franklin Mills Mall between 02/08 & 03/08.

"He just broke into your car, damaged the window, which is going cost you 100 bucks to replace. He took a $500 item. He's probably going to get 25 to 50 for it at the corner bar," said Capt. Jack McGinnis.
